Kalaupapa. Before I left for my business trip to Kalaupapa, Martin mentioned that visiting that locale may prove to be a life-changing experience.
Indeed. I found that my 3-day, 2-night stay endeared me to the secluded little town on the Moloka`i peninsula in such a way that I was not expecting. There are so many fond memories that I'd like to capture in words and share in photographs before they slip away, but right now I'm thoroughly exhausted and need to get some sleep. I have one more work day for this week and it would help if I'm awake to get through it.

An unexpected extension to my stay in Kalaupapa... One more night here if all goes well. It's absolutely beautiful here. Not just the scenery, but also the people. They have such genuine, sincere hearts. My short stay here has been wonderful and I just know that I'll miss this place when I leave tomorrow. Well, back to work. Pulling a late one today, so hopefully we'll be able to get everything done by noon tomorrow. Aloha!

I'm back from Vegas with stories and photos to share. Right now, however, I have a TON of laundry to do and packing for my overnight trip to Kalaupapa tomorrow... Stay tuned. More later!
