I have so much to tell about my 16-hour day with Wade. I also took 150+ photos of the day/evening. Right now, however, it's nearly 3:00 am and I need to get some rest -- even though I'm not really tired, due to all that adrenaline rushing through my veins from all the excitement. Hopefully, I have enough energy to post a little teaser tomorrow until I have more time to do a full-blown entry about our day's activities. It was memorable, to say the least. I really miss Wade... my oldest friend, having met him in preschool. If only there wasn't that darned ocean separating us!

Well, time to try to get some sleep...

Web Hosting Woes. So I finally get the token form letter indicating that maybe, just maybe, there's a problem on their end of the stick:

Due to our continuing efforts to improve customer service, you may be experiencing some difficulties with your web site. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing you and appreciate your patience. Please note that we are anticipating the completion of our current upgrades within the next 48 hours. Please feel free to contact us if you continue to experience difficulties after that time.

I'm still thinking about switching to a different web host. Thank you to the OJ Divas, Winnie, Linda, Sophia, and Cyn for your suggestions to my desperate plea for suggestions. At least now I feel much better knowing that there are better (and cheaper) options out there for me in case I do decide to jump ship to a different host.

I looked up my web hosting service on the BBB and found out that they have an unfavorable listing with quite a few complaints. Gee, I wonder why? This might be reason enough to make the switch...

This is extremely disturbing. My web host has been acting really flakey, then when I report it, the Customer (Dis)service reps elude to "user error" and statements like "no server outages during the time of your e-mail, yadda yadda yadda." Then they resolve the problem and don't tell me what was wrong -- but then, I'm missing data and they won't admit fault. That's what really burns me up. They won't admit fault, then try to insinuate that I'm the inept one that doesn't know how to login using FTP or don't know how to work my web browser to pull up my own site. Now, if it happened once, then I can excuse that. A second time, well, okay... we'll let you go again. But a THIRD time in a span of a couple of weeks... not acceptable.

Time for a new service. I've had it.

If you have trouble accessing my site, please be patient and check back again in a day or two. It may very well be in the process of being moved to a new hosting service.

Something has gone awry with my web host. Apparently, they restored from a backup or something because when I visited my site this morning, the entire site was current as of October 2001!!! Yikes! I spent this morning FTP'ing all of my current stuff back, so if you see broken links or anything else that looks weird, please let me know. Thanks!
