Ali`i by Association.  Traveling with Arnold is always a good thing. Recently, he earned enough frequent flyer miles to grant him Ali`i Club Status in Aloha Airlines. Being an Ali`i member entitles you not only to the benefits of an Executive Club member (pre-boarding, access to the Aloha Airlines lounge, and priority handling of baggage) but you also have the chance of being upgraded to first class if seats are available.

NOTE: Ali`i was the ruling class in old Hawai`i. Royalty.

On our way back home after our jaunt to Kauai on Wednesday, the ticketing agent marked our tickets with an unfamiliar stamp. My eyes immediately key in on any strange markings made by the ticketing agents since 9-11, because usually a stamp or marking on your ticket indicates that you've been "randomly selected" for a secondary anal probe security check. (Okay, maybe minus the anal probe. We haven't quite come to that yet.)

Arnold chuckled and informed me that F/C Seat meant that we were sitting in first class.

Ali`i by association!  How do you like that?

Of course, the flight from Kauai to Oahu was only 20 minutes, but nevertheless, I enjoyed the wider seats, additional legroom, and being served my passion-orange juice before the rest of the cabin.

It doesn't take much to make me happy. Being Queen for 20 minutes is enough to make my day.

.top.

Moving: None
Feeling: like royalty!
Hearing: "With All Our Hearts" CD by the New Hope worship team
Tasting: Hoji-Cha
Pondering: I could really get used to sitting in first class...

::Gratitudes::
Today, I'm thankful
for the opportunity to travel for business -- and having a wonderful boss who grants me those opportunities.
