New Prospects.
As I'm doing more market research on the business that I'll be launching (very soon), I can't help but to be giddy with excitement. For once, I actually feel as though I have a truly viable business idea that fits me like a glove. It's something that I think I am well-suited for and something that I won't burn out on after a few months. It seems as though there would be a decent demand for it -- and the market in Hawaii isn't saturated yet. If I could obtain jobs on a per-project basis, I could make some decent side income. If I could manage to get several clients on a monthly retainer, I might even be able to make this a full-time job.

Perhaps my dream of becoming an entrepreneur could become a reality very soon. Having suffered through a few false starts in the past, I am hoping that this time will be the charm.

By the way, did I mention that I actually got my first paying customer? I will be designing a web site for the National Information Access Bureau very soon. It's a company that does public records and criminal background checks for employers. Wow, a pre-launch customer! :-)

By the way, basic web design and maintenance will be just one of the many services that my company will be offering very soon!   ©

20:02, 20/02, 2002. [blogged at 11:34 am HST]  From an e-mail received today:

The most beautiful things in Quantum Physics are in the elegance of mathematics' and the beauty of symmetry.

At 8:02 pm on February 20 this year will be a historic moment in time. It will not be marked by the chiming of any clocks or the ringing of bells, but at that precise time, on that date, something will happen which has not occurred for 1,001 years and will never happen again.

As the clock ticks over from 8:01 pm on Wednesday, February 20, time will, 2002, or to be more precise -- 20:02,20/02,2002 on a 24 hour format display.

The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical pattern was long before the days of the digital watch and the 24-hour clock at 10:01am on January 10, 1001.

And because the clock only goes up to 23.59, it is something that will never happen again.

Of course, Terry always has a comment about everything. Within a few minutes, a reply to the group came back:
