Attack of the Blob. A large, mysterious growth has been sighted in our employee parking lot. It is growing quite rapidly and, as Dave says, is an "item of curiosity" amongst the employees. It's quite large: 28" x 19" as of today and we expect it to continue increasing in size. (We've started taking measurements to track its growth.) We're not quite sure what it is exactly, but have guessed that it must be some kind of fungus. Dave sent these photos to a Botany professor at the University of Hawaii to see if he could identify the Alien fungus.
People have been poking and prodding the alien fungus, apparently unconcerned about the potential hazards of disturbing an alien life form. (Who knows, right?) People had poked their fingers into the fungus a few days ago and the very next day, the holes had almost completely healed itself. Now, there is no trace of the scars. Truly phenomenal. Unlike anything I've ever seen.

Here's a close-up shot of what it looks like. Kinda creepy, if you ask me.
Here's a photo of Terry investigating the blob (taken yesterday). He called in sick today, missing in action... do you think it has anything to do with the alien fungus? Perhaps he inhaled some deadly alien fungus spores? Or maybe he's just slacking... (Probably the latter.)
When we get more details about the the alien fungus, I will let you know. Just a note: Ted has grown quite attached to the Alien Fungus and has named him "Horace." We're hoping that the maintenance folks don't attempt to remove Horace from his home. This is the most excitement we've seen around these parts in a WHILE!

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
- Philippians 4:6-7
